DCSS continues to die. In March, on MRG's Discord "Chateau" server, fellow world-record streak-holder ManMan inquired whether any good DCSS Discord servers were still active. The answer was negative. ManMan also wondered whether I was still posting in r/DCSS, and Flugkiller incorrectly asserted that I left the main Roguelikes Discord of my own accord. The SJW Sanhedrin ever acts in darkness.

To correct the record, I posted the following. (I glanced around for server rules beforehand but didn't find any.)

I'll forgive Malcolm since he went Alt-Right here: https://twitter.com/MalcolmRoseGM/status/1309382001682722817
The only games I am interested in are DCSS, my fork thereof, and Castle of the Winds.

I was banned from Discord@Roguelikes for no reason.

DCSS is dying, with r/DCSS engagement collapsing even as Tavern simultaneously dies. As I predicted.

MRG replied:

@Leo Littlebook Why are you bringing politics shit into my anodyne sfw server? RCS is the place for that. I might unban you from RCS if you promise not to lobby to have me censored again

I replied:

I was answering questions asked about me here. If you want people to follow server rules, post them somewhere noticeable. I'm not interested in RCS. Doesn't seem like there's any discussion of interest here either, so I'll probably leave after another day or so.

RCS had already been shuttered, so perhaps MRG was trying to trick me into giving something for nothing. He certainly didn't like my answer. He removed all my messages and blocked me from the server. It's as if I was never there.

Well, almost. MRG also added a prominent "no politics" rule, so he did take my advice.

Given MRG's unilateral action, I assume the truce is off. No need to redact my material, then.

While I'm quick to ban for low-IQ disrespect and lying, I don't ban intelligent antagonism. That's cowardice.

Cowardice is what lost Malcolm Rose Gaming his audience. He peaked as a DCSS streamer and streaker. But in response to SJW persecution, he did the Alt-Lite dance, backed off, then ran away entirely. Most of the audience didn't follow. His engagement levels have tanked. That's what happens when you build on a foundation of sand.

His justification for aborting his fork was that he couldn't make money off DCSS. Hence my post about crypto betting, where his skills could be actually useful. For an eternal shill, MRG sure isn't any good at monetizing his hobbies. He doesn't even have an email list!

Anyway, the point of my initial message, beyond correcting some misinfo about my various bans, was to attempt to dissuade MRG from his foolish decision to abandon DCSS and develop a dead-end indy game based on his worthless novel.

I wasn't planning to review said novel, but did look up the sales rank to substantiate my judgment of its merit. I did not anticipate that the book blurb itself would be hilariously bad.

MRG is "hard at work" on a fantasy series called "Leylines" featuring protagonist "Jak Barnswallow", presumably a farmhand fond of manually milking male animals. The sales rank, unsurprisingly, is #394,687. The climax of "Chateau Cascade" doubtless features Jak swallowing every leyline in the barn, relaxing the ragingly rigid ideologies of the two belligerent nations on the eve of war, precipitating an era of moderate cuckservatism. His triumphantly glistening face captures the heart of the bald Lady Acelia, feminist dominatrix and his newfound pimp!

The Greek prefix "a" means "without". "Celia" means "hair". It's unclear what's shaved.

If you suspect I'm exaggerating his ineptitude with names, follow that link to his Amazon page. It's work-safe. He actually meant to write serious fantasy, not bad porn. Naturally he writes under the pen name Dusty Ridgeman, another anatomically-suggestive name. The man has a gift.

A writer he is not, but he could've been useful as a coder. Unfortunately, MRG is still Alt-Lite at heart, which is why he's run away from DCSS like a whipped cur – for all his empty boasts that he would fork it and conquer his persecutors.

It was my mistake to suspect he'd changed. Edging to the right of Ann Coulter in one tweet means nothing more than that he's exposed to Alt-Right content. In the future, I'll be stricter about what qualifies as an Alt-Right shibboleth. The Alt-Lite's Overton window does gradually creep rightward, a sign the Alt-Right is winning as the country splits for Civil War 2.
